How an agent works
An agent is a role, not a chatbot. It has a job description, a set of named jobs it can run, and — for most roles — a schedule it keeps on its own. You talk to it in the dashboard when you want something specific; the rest of the time it runs its jobs and leaves the results in your review queue.
Many jobs do most of their work in code before a model is involved at all: dates, counts, page checks and diffs are computed, and the model is asked only to write. That is why a scheduled job can report “nothing changed” without spending anything.
What runs on a schedule
11 of the 15 roles keep their own timetable out of the box. You can change the job or the interval, or turn the schedule off, from the agent’s settings.
